Fair World Project joins the rest of the world in condemning Donald Trump’s recent comments on immigrants.

His language is dismissive and disrespectful of immigrants who choose to come to the U.S. from countries such as El Salvador, Haiti, and the many countries of Africa as well as to citizens of those countries who choose to stay there. The type of statement Trump made is racist and demonstrates a lack of understanding of the historical struggles of people in many of these countries against colonialism and slavery.

We Stand With Immigrants

Based on this escalation of anti-immigration rhetoric, it is even more important than ever to protect vulnerable immigrant populations.

One group that is particularly at risk are the Dreamers, children brought to the U.S. by parents whose legal protection is now in jeopardy if Congress doesn’t act soon.

Trump’s repeated and now escalating anti-immigration stance makes it clear that protecting vulnerable immigrant populations is in the hands of Congress. Let’s all let our Senators and Representatives know that we support legal protection for Dreamers.
