Thanks for sharing the excerpt of the amicus brief — I would have missed that.

The ideas Nestle cites in defending itself are damning. On page 16, https://www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/19/19-416/116977/20190925125724473_Nestle%20Cert%20Petition%209.25%20Final.pdf, Nestle’s lawyers basically argue, “well, Chiquita wasn’t held liable when they shipped arms and money into Colombia, so we shouldn’t be liable either.”

I have little hope the US legal system will correct actions by chocolate corporations. This article and call to action will hopefully put more pressure on from the consumer and citizen side.

Wouldn’t Citizens United be precedent?
