About This Show

Behind every single thing you wear, eat, and use, there are countless untold stories. For a Better World is a podcast about fair trade and the farmer and worker-led movements that are fighting for equitable food and farming systems. Each season, we’ll focus on an everyday item, from chocolate bars to t-shirts, and dive into the hidden environmental and social costs. In every episode, we’ll break down the main ingredients and meet some of the farmers, workers, and activists involved. And we’ll hear from people who are building alternative models that are rooted in justice and can heal the earth—building a better world for everyone.

Fair World Project believes in paying people for sharing their time, energy, and expertise – especially the farmers and workers from Black, Indigenous, and communities of color who have built so much of our global food and farming systems. As a token in recognition of this often-underpaid expertise, we offer a small stipend to the guests you hear on For a Better World.
